Eligibility Criteria of the UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2025
- To apply for the UTokyo internship, candidates must be undergraduate students from universities or colleges that offer bachelor’s degrees, mainly from the Asia region.
- Applicants must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies by the time the program starts.
- They should not be graduating before the program begins and must have at least one semester or quarter of study left after the program ends.
- Candidates need a strong academic record and an interest in pursuing a research degree, like a Ph.D., in the future.
- English language skills are required. Non-native English speakers or those whose first language is not English need to provide test scores, with minimum scores as follows:
- TOEFL iBT: 72
- IELTS: 5.5 overall band
- Cambridge English FCE
- TOEIC: 1095 total (785 for L&R and 310 for S&W)
How to Apply for UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2025
- Register on the TAO portal with your full legal name to begin the process.
- Find the UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program in the portal and start your application.
- Upload Required Documents
- Request two through TAO, with one from a faculty member.
- Ensure all sections are completed; edits cannot be made after submission.
- Applications are reviewed from February to mid-March, with notifications sent via TAO and email.
- Follow its instructions to finish all the required application procedures.
- Applicants must apply the system as requested within the application period.
