- Applicants must have an interest in life sciences.
- Must be in the prefinal year of their studies at the time of application:
- 3rd year of a 4-year bachelor’s program.
- 2nd year of a 3-year bachelor’s program.
- 4th year of a 5-year program.
- 1st year of a 2-year master’s program.
- 5th year of a 6-year program.
- Students aiming to enrol in the PhD program at NIG are encouraged to apply
- Candidates must agree to Conform to the regulations of the institute.
- Candidates must be able to maintain the confidentiality of information.
- Candidates must be able to submit an essay and a questionnaire at the end of their internship tenure.
- Candidates must be willing to submit all the boarding pass stubs of flights availed by the NIG.
How to Apply for the NIG summer internship program in Japan:
- Before registering, have your current postal address, field of interests, and preferred host laboratory ready.
- After registration, you’ll get a confirmation email with your application number and password. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder and allow emails from “@nig.ac.jp” to avoid issues.
- During registration, provide the names and email addresses of two recommenders.
- Talk to your recommenders beforehand and ask them to write a recommendation letter for you.
- Once you register, your recommenders will get an email with instructions to submit their recommendation.
- Follow its instructions to finish all the required application procedures.
- Applicants must apply the system as requested within the application period.
