About the program
The Harvard Environmental Fellows Program 2026 is a fully funded, 2-year fellowship in the United States for individuals worldwide interested in environmental research. Starting in July 2026, fellows will collaborate with Harvard faculty and access Harvard’s exceptional resources to address complex environmental challenges.
Eligibility criteria
- The Harvard University Environmental Fellows Program is open to anyone from any country with any citizenship.
- The fellowship is open to recent doctoral applicants. Candidates must have a doctorate or comparable terminal degree awarded between May 2022 and August 2026.
- The Candidates must propose a research project and find a supervisor to establish a relationship with a Harvard faculty member to host their research.
- Submit a Letter of recommendation.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Applicants who hold a master’s degree are not eligible to apply.
- This program is for post-doctoral or recent recipients of a PhD.
