About the Program 

The YLP MEXT Scholarship 2026 at GRIPS (Japan) offers outstanding international students a fully funded Master’s degree at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies. Funded by the Japanese Government (MEXT), the program covers tuition, registration fees, monthly stipend, accommodation, and round-trip airfare. Each year, MEXT provides over 300 full scholarships to global students to pursue advanced education in Japan’s leading institutions.

Eligibility Criteria 

• Cambodian applicants are eligible to apply
• Must have Bachelors degree from a recognized university.
• Candidate must be under 40 years of age as of October 1, 2025
• Must have full time professional experience of 3 years in Public Administration
• Student have to provide English Language Proficiency Certificate with 6.0 in IELTS or 79 score in TOBEL iBT.

How to Apply 

• Visit the GRIPS YLP webpage and download the application form and guidelines.
• Complete the application form accurately and clearly.
• Prepare supporting documents (academic transcripts, degree certificates, proof of employment, ID copies).
• Write a strong statement of purpose or research proposal aligned with YLP goals.
• Obtain recommendation letters from academic or professional referees.
• Translate and certify non-English documents, if required.
