About this Program
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is seeking applications for its Young Trade Leaders Program, aiming to increase young people's understanding of the WTO's work and international trade. These individuals will contribute fresh perspectives on trade's benefits to people and the planet, while also learning about the organization's mission and the work of Young Trade Leaders worldwide.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 on the closing date for applications with a strong interest in international trade.
- Applicants must be a citizen of a WTO member.
- Applicants must be neither currently affiliated with the WTO, nor have a relative who is currently WTO-affiliated.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good level of written and spoken English - knowledge of a second WTO working language (French or Spanish) is an asset.
- Applicants must have attuned to the need for diplomacy and show a willingness to respect diverse perspectives as well as willing to foster understanding of trade issues and promote constructive dialogue.
- Applicants must be committed to participate fully throughout the one-year program (July 2024-June 2025).
