About the program
The Presidential Scholarship at Montclair State University is a merit-based undergraduate award offered to high-achieving first-year freshmen. It’s designed to recognize strong academic performance in high school (e.g., GPA, class rank, and standardized test scores if submitted).
Eligibility criteria
- Incoming first-time undergraduate freshmen
- Good academic performance in high school (typically a strong strong unweighted GPA 3.4+ or higher on a 4.0 scale, though the exact GPA needed may vary with each year’s applicant pool and academic rigor)
- High-class ranked, and test scores (if submitted) can strengthen your consideration
- International students are included in the automatic review process
