About the Program

The Melbourne Chancellor's Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement during their Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) undertaken in Australia.

• Architecture, building, planning and design
• Arts, humanities and social sciences
• Business and economics; Education
• Engineering; Environment
• Health
• Information technology and computer science
• Law
• Music, visual and performing arts
• Science

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

• Be a citizen of a country other than Australia and completed Australian Year 12 or IB in Australia,
• Not have completed subjects undertaken as part of a tertiary course (except subjects that were part of an extension program)
• Have applied for a University of Melbourne undergraduate course via VTAC for commencement in the year following first completion of Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate
• Meet the entry requirements for the University of Melbourne course nominated in your VTAC application and either:  
  • Have achieved an ATAR of at least 99.90
  • Intend to undertake the Bachelor of Music and have achieved an ATAR of at least 99.85 and achieved an audition score of A+

How to apply

Eligible students who have applied for admission to the University via VTAC will be automatically considered for the Melbourne Chancellor’s Scholarship.
