About the Program
McGill University is now accepting applications for its 2026 Scholarships for international and domestic students pursuing Master’s or PhD degrees. The program offers 60 fully funded and 20 partially funded awards for the 2026–2027 academic year, covering a wide range of academic fields. These scholarships aim to help talented students study in Canada without financial barriers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students from all over the world can apply for the scholarship
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent recognized by McGill) in a field closely related to the chosen graduate program.
- For Master’s admission: completion of a four-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field at a recognized institution.
- For PhD admission: completion of a master’s degree in a relevant field at a recognized institution.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.2/4.0 in the last two years of full-time study (some programs may require higher).
- Academic credentials must be equivalent to a McGill University degree (refer to the Degree Equality page).
- Proficiency in English is required; applicants may need to provide proof of English language ability.
- Students may write dissertations, exams, or essays in French unless English proficiency is a course requirement.
