International Excellence Scholarship

About the Program

The International Excellence Scholarship is offered by the University of Newcastle, Australia to attract high-achieving international students commencing eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs. The scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible applicants based on academic merit, with no separate scholarship application required.

Benefits

For Selected Students:

20% tuition fee scholarship on the gross annual international tuition fee
Applied as a tuition fee reduction for each eligible term of study
Renewable throughout the standard duration of the eligible program, provided scholarship conditions are met
500 scholarships available for students commencing in 2027

Eligibility

Be an international full fee-paying student.
Be commencing an eligible CRICOS-registered undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
Commence studies in 2027 or later.
Not be receiving another University of Newcastle scholarship unless approved by the University.
Be able to meet the financial requirements of studying in Australia.
Not be enrolled in excluded programs such as Higher Degree by Research, English Language Bridging Program (ELBP), Exchange, Study Abroad, standalone Graduate Certificate/Diploma, or online/offshore programs.
