About Green River College

Green River College is a public college founded in 1965. Approximately 9,000 students study at Green River, with over 850 international students from 60 plus countries. Most international students come to Green River for its nationally recognized “2+2” transfer program to top US universities, High School Completion program, Intensive English, and our personal service.

Green River is not only ranked #1 in Washington State for international student enrollment among community colleges in the USA (IIE, 2020-2021) but also the recipient of the Paul Simon Award for internationalization. This is the most prestigious award for quality in international higher education and the ultimate endorsement of an institution’s commitment to educating global citizens. In November 2021, Green River College was recognized as a top 150 U.S Community College by Aspen Institute.

Campuses

Green River College has three campuses:

1. Auburn Center

Auburn Center is a main campus located in Auburn, Washington. Green River College is an open-access, public college where students from all over the world come together to learn, grow and enrich their lives. Green River’s main campus stretches over 180 acres of beautifully forested land.

2. Kent campus

Located in Kent, Washington. Green River College’s Kent Campus strives to offer students many of the same service and conveniences found on the Main Campus along with the benefits of a more personal, smaller campus environment.

The Kent Campus offers: credit classes for Associates Degrees, Bachelor of Applied Science in Marketing & Entrepreneurship, Basic and Pre-College classes, Professional Education, Job Skills Training, Customized Training, no-cost Small Business Counseling and Continuing and Community Education classes in Business, Computers and Technology.

3. Enumclaw Campus

Located in Enumclaw, Washington. Green River’s Enumclaw Campus offers a variety of credit and non-credit classes serving the needs of the Enumclaw community and surrounding plateau area.
