About the program

Eligible Nationalities
This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be non-Chinese citizens in good health (both mentally and physically) and observe the laws, regulations, and rules of the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT).
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) and be under the age of 35 when applying for a master’s program.
- Hold a master’s degree (or its equivalent) and be under the age of 40 when applying for a Ph.D. program.
- Provide language proficiency certificates:
- For Chinese-taught programs:
- HSK level 5 certificate with a score of 180 or above.
- For English-taught programs:
- Minimum TOEFL score: 85
- IELTS: Overall band score of 6.0
- Duolingo English Test: Score of 110
Note: Native English speakers are exempt, and other language certificates recognized by BIT are also accepted.
- Have at least one year of relevant work or internship experience (mandatory for MBA applicants).

Application Period
- October 15, 2024 to February 15, 2025: First round (recommended) for scholarship applicants
- February 16, 2025 to April 15, 2025: Second round for scholarship applicants
- October 15, 2024 to June 15, 2025: For self-funded applicants

- CSC applicants must first register at: https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn and upload required documents.

Material Review & Application Fee
- Applicants who pass the initial Material Review will need to pay a non-refundable application fee of CNY 600 directly through the online system.
Comprehensive Interview
- Applicants who pay the fee will be invited to a Comprehensive Interview.
- Time and method will be communicated via email.
Academic Review & Further Reviews
- After the interview, applicants proceed to Academic and Further Reviews.
- It is recommended to contact BIT advisors before or during the admission process.
Note: No need to wait for the results of the Comprehensive Interview to proceed.
Pre-Admission
- Applicants who pass the academic and further reviews will receive a Pre-Admission Notice.
Final Result (Official Admission)
- The official admission result will be sent via email around July.
