Macquarie University Road to Research Scholarship

About this Program

Macquarie University Sydney Road to Research Scholarship 2024/2025 is open for both domestic and international students. The scholarship allows applicants to pursue a PhD level program(s) in the field of all subjects taught at Macquarie University. The deadline of this scholarship is right around the corner on the 30th of April 2024.

Eligibility

To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

Are onshore in Australia
Intend to reside in Sydney, Australia during their candidature
Plan to undertake a Master of Research Year 2 in July 2024
Enrolling as full-time students
Meet the English language requirement for Macquarie research degrees
Meet the admission criteria for direct entry into MRes Year 2
Have a valid visa allowing you to commence your study in July 2024, for international students
Have confirmation of supervision from an eligible Macquarie University researcher

Scholarship Benefits

Scholarship Components:

This scholarship provides a partial funding of tuition which may consist of the following:

Tuition fee offset for a maximum of one year.
Living allowance (stipend) up to $35,000 for one year.

Scholarship Benefits Accessible

Gain access to minor awards, allowances or other earnings which are supplementary to MQRES, or derived from part-time work.
Receive stipend top-up funding from industry or other sources to a maximum of equivalent of 75% of base Macquarie University stipend rate.
Gain access to additional funds for fieldwork, equipment and other expenses not covered by the award.
