About this Program
Open Development Cambodia and ICT for Development (ICT4D) Cambodia Network will fully fund participants from the Cambodia ICT Camp Alumni and non-members of the Cambodia ICT and Digital Forum (CamIDF) to attend the 18th Internet Governance Forum 2023 in Kyoto, Japan. The Internet Governance Forum (IGF), organized under an overarching theme; The Internet We Want- Empowering All People, serves to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals in discussions on public policy issues relating to the internet.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this program, the applicant must:
- Be a member of the Cambodia ICT and Digital Forum
- Be active on Cambodia ICT and Digital Forum’s website
- Be admitted to the event thought the selection process by ODC
- Have good English proficiency that enables meaningful communication with peoples from various backgrounds and nationalities
- Express strong interest in the internet, technology, digital, policy, and related topics
- Be committed to contributing to their community upon returning from event
- Be able to participate fully and actively during the whole program
Benefits
This program will cover expenses:
- Participation cost (VISA, travel insurance, accommodation, meals, and local transportation during the program)
- Round-trip flights tickets from Phnom Penh to Kyoto and vice versa
How to Apply
- Register to be a CamIDF Member via the link by 31st July 2023, 5 PM

- Once your Membership is approved, click “let’s Connect” on the CamIDF’s website
- Login with your personal credential
- Go to “Announcements” and fill in the application form for the 18th internet Governance Forum
- Go to “All Topics” and create at least 5 topics related to the Forum’s theme on the website and actively engage with discussions under your posted topics (Starting from 9 August-17 August, 5PM)
