The 7th Phnom Penh Model United Nations (the 7th PPMUN) is the first model United Nations conference in Cambodia, which is organized by the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy (IISPP). This event provides the opportunity for young Cambodians to experience the work of the United Nations by role-playing as the delegates representing countries to negotiate and discuss the current contentious international affairs. PPMUN was established for the first time in Cambodia since 2014. And now we are back with a hot topic: “The Situation in Ukraine”.
PPMUN welcomes students and the public who wish to learn about the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) agenda, procedures, and issues. We strongly encourage you all to join the 7th PPMUN because world events are something we should study, understand, analyze, and find solutions for. By experiencing the 7th PPMUN, you will have a clear idea of how the UN Security Council is working, how to find solutions, and how to make decisions in a stressful situation.
