About the program
The Young Leaders Program (YLP) aims to contribute to the fostering of future national leaders in Asian and other countries. Moreover, the YLP seeks to contribute to the establishment of friendly relations among various countries and to improve policy planning activities by forming a network among national leaders through the deepening of their understanding of Japan. The YLP is one of the Japanese Government (MEXT*) Scholarship Programs.
Eligibility criteria
- Young public administrators, business managers, and legal professionals expected to play active roles as future national leaders in Asian and other countries are eligible to apply for the YLP program.
- Citizen of YLP-participating country.
- Under 40 years old (by September 1 of intake year)
- University graduate with strong academics.
- At least 2 years’ work experience.
- English: TOEFL iBT ≥100 / IELTS ≥7.0
- GMAT/GRE preferred (not mandatory)
- Not a Japanese national.
