About the program 

University of Liverpool UK Global Change MSc Scholarships 2025 is open for International Students, Domestic Students. The scholarship allows Postgraduate, Masters level program(s) in the field of Ecology, Environmental Biology, Global Change taught at University of Liverpool. The deadline of the scholarship is 11 Jul 2025.

The MSc in Global Change Ecology and Evolution at the University of Liverpool is an advanced program designed to equip future scientists with the expertise to understand and mitigate the pressing impact of human activities on ecosystems. With the onset of climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation, this program offers critical skills and knowledge needed to tackle these global issues.

Key Course Structure

The program is divided into two main semesters, followed by a final project. 

Semester one includes compulsory modules such as:

  • LIFE707 – Biological Data Skills 
  • IVES701 – Introduction to IVES Research 
  • IVES713 – Ecology in the Anthropocene 
  • IVES712 – Evolution in the Anthropocene

Fees and Scholarships 

The tuition fee for the 2025-26 academic year is: 

  • £13,300 per year for UK students 
  • £28,300 per year for international students 

Scholarships like the Chevening Scholarship provide up to £18,000 in funding for eligible students. Additionally, the University of Liverpool International College Excellence Scholarship offers a £5,000 fee discount for high-achieving students.

Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to domestic and international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

International Opportunities and Graduate Visa 

International students are welcomed at the University of Liverpool, with services such as meet-and-greet at Manchester Airport and dedicated support teams for international students throughout the year. Additionally, the UK offers a graduate visa, allowing students to stay and work in the country for up to two years post-graduation. 

Career Prospects for MSc Graduates 

 The MSc in Global Change Ecology and Evolution prepares graduates for a variety of careers across sectors such as: 

  •  Environmental consultancy 
  •  Conservation officer roles 
  •  Public sector and non-government organizations 
  •  Scientific research and academia

Graduates may pursue positions as policy advisors, environmental education officers, science writers, or PhD candidates in ecology and evolution.

Entry Requirements for International Students from Pakistan 

 Applicants from Pakistan need a 2:1 honours degree in Biological Sciences or Environmental Sciences. The program offers flexibility by considering applicants with professional experience in conservation fields. Additionally, students with a 2:2 degree are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
