About the program 

Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship Pioneering Women in STEM is a fully funded scholarship in Sweden which provides a unique combination of top-notch education and innovative technology with a focus on sustainability. Do you have a strong desire to change the future? This is your opportunity to develop creative ideas, acquire useful knowledge, and create a positive influence.
The Swedish Institute is inviting women from ten Asian and African nations to apply for fully funded international scholarships in Europe. These scholarships are intended for women who are prepared to take the lead, address global issues, and create long-lasting solutions. During this scholarship for master’s program, students will get a unique opportunity for networking and professional development.

With the help of this Swedish scholarship in Europe, the Swedish Institute (SI) intends to build a network of future world leaders who will support the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and make STEM fairer and more diverse. This international scholarship program includes a broad range of master’s programs taught in English that specialize on one or more subjects including Mathematics, Science, Technology, and Engineering.

Benefits of Swedish Institute Scholarships 2025:

  • Full tuition fee will be paid to student’s Swedish University for each semester by SI.
  • Students will get a monthly stipend of SEK 12,000 to cover their living expenses during their study period.
  • International students will get a travel grant of SEK 15,000.
  • Participants will get membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP).
  • After completing scholarship period, students will become a member of the SI Alumni Network.

Eligibility Criteria for Swedish Institute Scholarship 2025:

  • Women candidates should be citizens of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam.
  • If you have dual citizenship and both countries are eligible, select only one citizenship and submit only one application.
  • Applicants should pay the application fee for master’s program on time. The payment should be done to University Admissions.
  • Applicants should be conditionally admitted to any eligible master’s program in March 2025 on the day of admissions announcement.
  • Late admissions will not be considered for scholarship.
  • Candidates should not currently be enrolled in a master’s program at any Swedish university.
  • Applicants who have not already received SI scholarship or a degree from a Swedish university are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants should have not lived in Sweden for more than 2 years before applying for this scholarship.

How to apply for Swedish Institute Scholarship 2025:

  • First of all, select an eligible master’s program for the scholarship from the link provided above.
  • Apply for master’s program through university admissions so that you are considered for the scholarship.
  • Log into the university admissions portal.
  • Search for courses or programs.
  • Rank your selected programs.
  • Provide all the application documents.
  • Pay the application fees.
  • Register your citizenship.
  • Submit the electronic application form.
  • Applicants will get admission in different universities of Sweden after following their admissions criteria.
  • Fill and submit the form given on official wesbite.
  • Candidates will receive email from university admissions about their selection in the master’s program by 27th March, 25.
  • Candidates will receive email from the Swedish Institute about their selection in the scholarship by 24 April, 25.
  • Follow its instructions to finish all the required application procedures. 
  • Applicants must apply the system as requested within the application period.

  • Documents of all previous higher education studies (degrees and transcripts).
  • CV 
  • Motivation letter.
  • References
  • English language requirements fulfilment.
  • Any additional documents asked by the university.
  • Passport
