About APU
APU is a multicultural campus where about 50% of the student body comprises of international students. Students from 106 countries and regions gather to study this uniquely international environment in Japan. Moreover, one in two faculty members is of foreign nationality, and the official languages of the campus are English and Japanese.
About 90% of all courses at APU are held in both English and Japanese. Students have the option of pursuing their areas of study in either language. To ensure students attain such language ability, the university provides comprehensive language programs as well as a diverse range of off-campus study options.
Why Should Study at APU?
Because APU aims to equip students with multicultural competencies that enable them to grow into human resources who "change the world" through multicultural collaborative learning in which students with various differences and diversity learn from each other. Off-campus Study Programs also offers programs for multicultural competence. There are also programs in which domestic and international students work together, and programs in which students decide on a theme and conduct research activities, and they are actively engaged in off-campus activities.
