About this Program
The International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP) is a paid internship program offered by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in Taiwan, aimed at attracting foreign talent and enhancing knowledge in the field of Science and Technology. The program aims to accelerate the development of important scientific research areas, broaden the global scientific research network, enhance technical proficiency, and provide a strong foundation for industrial upgrading.
Interns will participate in related research and learning activities based on their research subjects and domains, receiving necessary support throughout the internship. After completing the internship for up to three months, some interns may plan to pursue advanced studies or build careers in Taiwan. The IIPP aims to improve Taiwan's human resource base in important scientific research areas by recruiting new people.
The program also connects international students and researchers to academic and research institutions in Taiwan. The Science and Technology Policy Research and Information Center (STPI) serves as the primary government think tank on science and technology policy, gathering, compiling, and disseminating science and technology information for innovation, competitiveness, sustainable development, and social well-being.
STPI is moving closer to its main objective of becoming a global center for policy research due to its strong academic foundation and empirical research skills. Apply for the paid internship before the deadline approaches to secure your spot.
