About the Program
The International Service & Leadership Award is a highly competitive scholarship available to first-year international students who have contributed to their communities and demonstrated leadership prior to joining U of A.
Eligibility
- Offers are non-negotiable and are not increased to match offers from other institutions
- Awards are for first year students pursuing their undergraduate studies only
- If a student is classified as a domestic student, the award amount is forfeited
- The award must be used the semester for which it was first offered.
Selection
- Students selected for this scholarship will receive an email.
- The award must be used the semester for which it was first offered. Students who defer their admission forfeit the award amount and may re-apply.
- Awards are not offered for summer or spring term.
- Students selected for the award are expected to contribute to the International Admissions outreach efforts by completing the following during their first year:
- Presentation to one’s High School / other school in one’s home country
- Call campaign for admitted students (one week in March/April)
- Marketing video / photo shoot with the International Marketing team
- Social media “Day in the Life” post to be used on Instagram or WeChat
