About the program:
The CERN Doctoral Student Program is a fully funded opportunity in Switzerland for research students. CERN is a European Organization for Nuclear Research where scientists and engineers examine the fundamental structure of the universe. They research fundamental components of matter including particles that are designed to collide at almost the speed of light while using advanced scientific methods and equipment in the world. Through the CERN student program, scientists can learn about the basic rules of nature and how particles interact with one another.
This is a fully funded opportunity for doctoral students to work at the cutting edge of science for up to 36 months while working on their thesis. This doctoral research opportunity will help to advance your knowledge in a genuinely unique organization if your area of expertise is Applied Physics, Engineering, or Computing. It is an offer to participate in renowned experiments with advanced scope and size. You will get to work and learn from the world’s renowned physicists and scientists which will add value to your research projects.
The CERN doctoral student program is an invitation to become a part of something unique on Earth. The successful applicants will gain knowledge and experience in a wide range of fields at the forefront of technology, including applied physics, IT, mathematics, electricity, electronics, mechanical or civil engineering, instrumentation for accelerators and particle physics experiments, materials science, radiation protection, safety and environmental protection, science communication, surveying, and ultra-high vacuum.
CERN provides an international research opportunity in Europe which has so many benefits. Researchers will be given a monthly allowance of 3868 Swiss Francs to bear the cost of living while working on their research projects. They will be provided a traveling allowance and a supplement cost for their spouses and children. One of the best perks includes 2-5 paid leaves per month during the entire research program. Researchers can complete this program for up to 4 years according to their ease and convenience.
