MBS International Students Study Award at Massey University



To attract high achieving commencing international students, Massey University is thrilled to announce the MBS International Students Study Award in New Zealand. The scholarships are open for the session 2020-2021.

The grants are available for excellent international students who wish to enroll in full-time undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs on the Manawatu or Wellington campuses at Massey University.


The scholarship will be awarded as follows:

  • Undergraduate students with a cost of $5,000 per 120 credits enrolled up to a maximum of $15,000
  • For postgraduate students will get the value of $5,000 per 120 credits to $10,000
  • The award will be paid in installments as a tuition fee credit each semester
  • Each successful candidate will get the installment after the first year of full-fee-paying
  • The award will be granted to the recipient’s program for a duration equal to the full-time study period, but subject to adequate academic results in the first year of installment payments


  • The candidate must be an international student
  • Applicants must be full-fee-paying international students, who are neither citizens nor permanent residents of New Zealand or Australia
  • Applicant must be enrolled in full-time undergraduate and postgraduate degree program offered by Massey Business School at the university campus Manawatu or Wellington campuses
  • Applicants must be commencing study in Manawatu or Wellington as “international mode or Block mode”
  • Applicants must get the offer of a place before applying for the scholarships
  • The award will be based on academic merit

How to Apply 

For applying to these scholarships, candidates are needed to follow these steps:

Step 1: Apply for admission

To be involved in this scholarship, applicants are demanded to take admission in the undergraduate and postgraduate degree program at Massey University. Candidates are requested to apply for admission before the closing date.

Step 2: Apply for a scholarship

After taking affirmation, the candidate must download an applicant form and submit it through email to International@massey.ac.nz

Step 3: Submit required documents

  • High school diploma certificate
  • School transcripts already available
  • Transcripts from prior school (only if requested)
  • Post-secondary transcription
  • Official survey results
  • Start / Course Vitae
