Full Scholarships 2020 

The American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) offers rigorous education grounded in the culture of Cambodia and Asia to foster life-long learning and critical thinking. We strive for academic and professional excellence to produce critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders who will make a significant contribution to society. 

This year AUPP provides (51) full scholarships to students who have exemplified an outstanding academic record during their high school studies and in need of financial assistance. The scholarships include (01) for students pursuing Bachelor of Science in Business, (05) for those pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Global Affairs, (05) for students pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Law, (15) for students pursuing an American-style Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Technology Management, (15) for those studying a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and another (10) for Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. AUPP welcomes these students to begin their academic success with us.  

Merit Scholarships 2020 

Students who have achieved Grade A or B on their National High School Examinations or AUPP Merit Scholarships Examinations are eligible for Merit Scholarships 2020. Students retain their scholarship for the entire course of study at AUPP in Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters, including the English Preparatory Program. Students must maintain a grade point average (GPA) equivalent to a B grade (GPA of 3.00 or higher) each semester. Scholarship awarded may not be transferred, deferred, or enchased. 

Benefit:

Scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students who obtain grade A or B from Cambodia National High School Examination or AUPP Merit Scholarships Examinations as below: 

  • Single Degree Programs 
  • Grade A students are eligible for a USD 1,500 per academic year scholarship for the whole program. 
  • Grade B students are eligible for a USD 1,000 per academic year scholarship. 
  • Dual Degree Programs 
    1. Grade A students are eligible for a USD 4,500 per academic year scholarship for the 1st and 2nd year. 
    2. Grade B students are eligible for a USD 4,000 per academic year scholarship for the 1st and 2nd year. 
  • Civil Engineering Program 
    1. Grade A students are eligible for a USD 3,000 per academic year scholarship for the 1st and 2nd year. 
    2. Grade B students are eligible for a USD $2,000 per academic year scholarship for the 1st and 2nd year. 

Eligibility:

Students who have achieved Grade A or B on their National High School Examinations or AUPP Merit Scholarships Examinations are eligible for Merit Scholarships 2020. 

How to Apply

To apply for Full/Merit Scholarship 2020 at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP), students must: 

  • Submit the online application form on our website with the application and testing fee  
  • Follow the instructions to schedule an English Placement Test on campus if you do not have a current IELTS or TOEFL Score 
  • Receive your offer of admission then request for the scholarship application form via s.san@aupp.edu.kh  
  • Complete the scholarship application, including: 
    1. Grade reports for grades 10-12 (11-13 if British system); 
    2. Names and contact information of references; 
    3. Personal statement(s) in English or (Khmer if necessary) 
  • All applicants: about 500 words describing your academic and non-academic achievement, including your services to the community and others; 
  • For Full Scholarship Only: an additional 300 words focusing on barriers you have overcome to make the described achievements.   
    1. Take the AUPP scholarship examination if you do not have a National Examination grade A or B.
