About Program

“JENESYS High School Exchange for ASEAN, Japan, and Timor Leste” under the “Japan Friendship Ties Program; JENESYS”, as the Commemorating the 50th Year of ASEAN Japan Relationships.

JENESYS High School Exchange for ASEAN, Japan and Timor-Leste  is a  people-to-people exchange program between Japan and the Asia-Pacific region launched by the Japanese Government. JENESY consists of Inbound Program from Asia-Pacific region and Outbound program to Asia-Pacific region, Online Exchange Program and Program for Alumni. The program aims at promoting mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region and building a basis for future friendship and cooperation. It also encourages an understanding of Japan’s economy, society, history, diverse culture, politics and diplomatic relations.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, you must:

1. Be Cambodian high school students the age between 16 to 18 years old
2. Have a good physical health
3. Have good academic performance and interest in culture and socialization
4. Those who have been involved in study, research or activities related to Japan or Japanese language/culture for over a year.
5. Who has access to an online pre-study session using his/her/rented PC, tablet, or smartphone (Devices provided by the school are also acceptable)
6. Who can participate in the whole program.

Required Document

The application form and other supporting documents:

1. Fill the online application form via google form entirely and accurately (avoid duplicate applications)
2. Scanned copy of Passport valid until February 26, 2024 (upload via Google form)
3. Upload a headshot photo with white background
4. Scanned copy of Vaccination Card/ Vaccination Certificate
5. Scanned copy of Birth certificate
6. Updated Curriculum Vitae
7. Proof or Certificate of Enrollment for Highschool Student
8. Proof or Certificate of English proficiency

Program Benefits

Qualified delegates will be covered for the following expense by organizer:

• Accommodation in Japan
• Roundtrip economy airfare to Japan
• Transportation in Japan

Note: Delegates will shoulder visa fees and their travel expenses from their residence (province) to Phnom Penh International Airport and back, as well as their accommodation in Phnom Penh for the pre-departure briefing in the DGY Office, travel insurance, medical and other expenses while on travel.

• Submit ONLINE APPLICATION FORM 
• Do not submit multiple application forms.  Please review your entries before submitting the form and upload all the requirements in the Google form.
• Applicants are advised to strictly follow the instructions for submission.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the interview round on June 23, 2023.
